Life Groups

What are Life Groups?

Life Groups are where we connect with others in similar life stages. Connecting with one another in Life Groups allows us to strengthen, support, and challenge each other in our personal relationships with Christ.

Groups are divided as follows:

  • Kids' Life Groups (Ages 3-4; Grades K5-2; Grades 3-5)
  • Teen Life Group (6th-12th graders)
  • Singles College & Career Life Group (College Age)
  • Young Life Group (20s & 30s)
  • Mid Life Group (40s & 50s)
  • Senior Life Group (60s and up)

The age breakdown of our adult groups is a recommendation, but you may choose the Life Group that best suits your stage of life.

When do Life Groups meet and what goes on?

Life Groups meet on Sundays from 9:00-9:45 AM for fellowship, Bible teaching, and discussion. We have a group of teachers who rotate through each Life Group every several weeks to bring variety of style and refreshing personalities to each group.

Each life group also has fun fellowship activities planned throughout the year.

Life Groups also help provide care for their members when needs arise.

2026 Adult Life Group Topics

Combined Life Group (All adults meet in the auditorium)

Topics for Rotating Teachers

  • Phil Knight - Themes in Ecclesiastes
    • In the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon demonstrates how vain and futile human existence would be if God didn't exist and we had no hope of eternity -- if all of life consisted of merely "life under the sun." In this study, we will explore key themes of this ancient book. Along the way, we will also show how modern godless philosophies lead logically and inevitably to the same futility and hopelessness identified by Solomon. Hope and meaning is found only in our relationship with our Creator.
  • Joe Johnston - All About Jesus: Seeing the Gospel in Every Genre of Scripture
    • Jesus is the point of the Bible. See how the gospel is the focus of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation through the lens of genre. We will see how to draw Jesus out from Narrative, Law, Prophecy, Poetry, and more. Together we will learn to unlock the purpose and meaning woven into each part of God's Word.
  • David Greear - The Process of Christian Growth: "Sanctification" defined, described, and applied
    • This series will explore the doctrine of sanctification, which is, in essence, the process of growth and change in the Christian life. We will attempt to define sanctification Biblically and then examine various models of sanctification that have been used by Bible-believers over the last few centuries, looking at the strengths and weaknesses of each. Finally, we will lay out a Biblical roadmap of how to grow and change in the Christian life with the ultimate goal of reflecting Christ more and more, for His glory.
  • Ric Nelson - God's Big Picture: How do 66 books written over nearly 2,000 years by around 40 authors all fit together as ONE book?
    • Our study will trace the theme of God's Kingdom through the Bible. It will help all of us read the Bible with a fresh perspective, seeing God's plan of salvation to restore his perfect creation through Jesus Christ.

Book Studies by Life Group Leaders

  • Alex Dunn & Bill Adams - Apologetics
  • Chris Underwood - Spiritual Disciplines
    • Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life details essential biblical habits, such as Bible reading, prayer, and worship, that Christians intentionally practice to grow spiritually and become more like Jesus, seeing these as vital means for receiving God's grace, not earning it. These disciplines build spiritual maturity by fostering a deeper, more Christ-like relationship with God through both private devotion and public engagement with others.
  • Bill Buffaloe - Respectable Sins: Confronting the Sins We Tolerate
    • In Respectable Sins, Jerry Bridges challenges Christians to address subtle, commonly accepted transgressions like pride, anger, and gossip that are often overlooked in favor of more blatant societal sins. This study emphasizes that all sin, regardless of how "respectable" it seems, offends a holy God and must be actively battled through the power of the Gospel and the Holy Spirit.
  • Pastor Gene Worley - The Book of Malachi
    • Malachi means messenger. He brought the last message to Israel before 400 years of silence, and then John, the Baptist appeared on the scene.
