What captures the attention of angels when it comes to humans? They are interested in our glorious salvation. If the angels want to examine our salvation, shouldn’t we want to rejoice in it? This sermon is part 3 of “The Glories of Our Salvation” in our study of 1 Peter.

1. The Excitement of Our Salvation (1 Peter 1:10-12)
• Our glorious salvation was predicted by the prophets.
- They prophesied of God’s gracious salvation given to you. (Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 53)
- They diligently and relentlessly searched the Scriptures to know and understand the details of God’s gracious salvation that was revealed to you. (1 Peter 1:12; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
• Our glorious salvation was preached to us by the apostles/early Christians. (1 Peter 1:12; Matthew 13:17)
- They preached the simple gospel.
- They preached in the power of the Holy Spirit.
• Our glorious salvation is prized by the angels. (1 Peter 1:12; Hebrews 2:16)
- The angels are captivated by our glorious salvation.
- The angels celebrate our glorious salvation. (Luke 15:10)
