Learn to Lovingly Confront People with the Gospel

August 8, 2021 Speaker: Michael Knight Series: Current Sermon

Topic: Evangelism Passage: 1 Corinthians 2:14–17

When we share the Gospel with others, a sweet fragrance arises to God. As believers, if we desire to please God, share the Good News. The Gospel is the only hope for those without Christ!

Two Responses to the Gospel:
1. Rejection of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 2:14-15)
- The Gospel becomes a message of death to those who reject it.
2. Acceptance of the Gospel (John 3:18, 36; 1 John 5:12; John 6:47)
- The Gospel becomes a message of life to those who accept it.

Two Thoughts to Consider:
1. It is important to understand that every time you present the Gospel, whether it is accepted or rejected, God is pleased.
2. You can’t present the clear Gospel without being confrontational.
- Don’t ever be ashamed to share the Gospel. (Romans 1:16)
- The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation.
3. People need to hear the Truth. (John 8:32)
4. Expect to feel uncomfortable when you share the Truth.
5. When you confront people with the Truth, confront them lovingly.
