Learn to Direct Your Conversations to the Gospel

As believers in Christ, we know we need to give the Gospel to the lost, but how do we enter into salvation-centered conversations with the unsaved? Jesus Christ provides the ultimate example of directing a conversation to salvation in his interaction with the Samaritan woman in John 4. Let's learn how to steer our conversations toward the Good News.

Seven Directional Questions to Ask of the Lost:

1. What is your religious background?
2. In your opinion, who is Jesus Christ?
3. Do you believe in heaven and hell?
4. If you were to die right now or 5 years from now, where would you go? (If they say hell, give them the Gospel.)
5. What are you depending on in order to go to heaven?
6. Anything else? (Keep asking this question and listen carefully.)
7. If what you just said to me is not the way to heaven according to God’s Word, would you want me to tell you?
